Easy Baked Salmon Recipe — 2 Ingredients
Originally published April 27, 2016 · Improv Oven
This easy baked salmon recipe is almost too simple — just 2 ingredients, one oven, and 30 minutes. Italian dressing acts as both a marinade and a glaze, keeping the salmon incredibly moist and flavorful. One of the easiest weeknight dinners you'll ever make.
Ingredients
- 1 salmon fillet (about 1.5–2 lbs)
- Italian dressing (enough to completely cover the fillet)
Instructions
-
1Heat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
2Place the salmon fillet on the lined baking sheet.
-
3Drizzle Italian dressing generously over the salmon until completely covered. Add more as desired — don't be shy with it.
-
4Bake uncovered for 30 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
-
5Cut into portions and serve hot. Leftovers are excellent cold on a bagel with cream cheese the next morning.
💡 Improv Tip
The Italian dressing does all the work here — the oil keeps it moist, the herbs add flavor, and the vinegar acts as a subtle marinade. For a fancier version, let the salmon sit in the dressing for 30 minutes before baking. Game changer.
